Tucson's rifle range was taken over this weekend. Pink covered everything and there were no boys in sight.
"This is the second day of our three day camp for babes with bullets", says founder Deb Ferns.
More than 30 women from all over the country strapped on their holsters and stared down targets. After spending yesterday preparing how to shoot and going over safety procedures. Today it was time to let the bullets fly.
"It's a blast", says Holly Sanderson, a nurse from Tucson. "It's the best time I've had in a long, long time".
A mother and daughter, Shawna and Lori from Sacramento, made the trip all the way to Tucson for the event.
"We've never shot guns before. This is the first time I've ever picked up a gun and shot it, and I'm doing pretty well".
For many of these women, this is first time they've held a gun. For most of them, it wont be the last.
"It always used to be a man's sport" says Sanderson. "But it's slowly becoming a woman's sport and it builds confidence".
"I think all women even if they're terrified of guns or want to be anti-guns should just try it before you condemn it" says Fern.
